Quick Q&A Before You Revise

What is the difference between speed and velocity?

Speed is distance travelled per unit time and has no direction. Velocity is displacement per unit time and includes direction.

Why is uniform circular motion called accelerated motion?

Because although the speed stays the same, the direction of motion keeps changing, so the velocity vector changes continuously. Any change in velocity counts as acceleration.
