About CUET UG History

History is a widely chosen CUET UG domain subject (Section II) for students applying to BA History, BA Social Sciences, and related programmes at Central Universities, Delhi University, Jamia, BHU, and 260+ other institutions. The paper has 50 questions (attempt any 40) with +5/−1 marking.

The CUET History syllabus covers three broad periods: Ancient India — Harappan Civilisation, Vedic Age, Mahajanapadas, Maurya Empire, Sangam Age, Gupta Period, South Indian Kingdoms; Medieval India — Delhi Sultanate, Mughal Empire (Akbar to Aurangzeb), Bhakti and Sufi Movements, Vijayanagara Empire, Maratha Empire; Modern India — European arrival, Battle of Plassey, British economic and administrative policies, Revolt of 1857, Social Reform Movements, Indian National Movement (1885–1947), Constitutional developments, Partition, and Independence. CUET History questions are primarily passage-based (source-based), assertion-reason, and direct concept MCQs.

How to Use the CUET History Mock Pack

1. Revise all three periods — Ancient, Medieval, Modern — before attempting Set 1.
2. Attempt each set under timed conditions without notes to build real exam stamina.
3. For passage-based questions, practise reading the extract first and eliminating options systematically.
4. After submission, review every incorrect answer — source-based questions often have tricky distractors.
5. Track which historical period you're losing the most marks in and do targeted revision between sets.
